It seems I can’t get enough of lakes these days. Hikes I imagine most people put on their lists for hot summer days. But there is a beauty to the misty, foggy winter hikes to these lakes. Less crowded. Better light for photos. It has its perks.
Right now the trail to Lake 22 is in pretty good condition. There’s a few blown down trees on the trail, lots of water but overall very manageable. I recommend waterproof boots and poles if you have them. The wet trail makes for some slippery rocks.
At the top there’s a beautiful board walk that circles part of the lake. It’s in great condition and makes for a fun walk around the lake.
Check out past lakes, Talapus and Olallie Lake and Snow Lake.
